Negotiating the Purchase Contract:
  • LAVP will consult with you about the terms on which you are prepared to sell your home.
  • There are a host of terms to be negotiated, including, but not limited to the purchase price, financing terms, earnest money deposit, the inclusion or exclusion of repairs or furnishings and equipment, the allocation of closing costs and the time period and conditions under which you will permit a buyer to complete property inspections before he or she is bound to purchase your home.
  • Once we find ready willing and able buyers, LAVP will help you objectively evaluate each buyer’s offer and its compatibility with the terms you identified in your consultation.
  • LAVP will prepare written counter-offers (as appropriate) and otherwise negotiate a purchase contract on your behalf.
  • LAVP will keep you informed during the negotiation process to insure that we negotiate the best possible purchase contract and that you approve any deviations from your consultations with LAVP.
